Besides playing music, HSCB members love to talk about our group. We even like to think of questions (and answers) people might ask. Consider it a musical mind meld.
Simply attend our rehearsals. They’re held every Wednesday, 7 p.m., at the Holly Springs Cultural Center, located at 300 W. Ballentine Street. For directions, visit Mapquest at http://www.mapquest.com.
Our music ranges in difficulty from grades 2 to 4, and occasionally grades 5-6. This range allows members to play less difficult pieces confidently, while challenging themselves with more demanding works.
Yes, because you must communicate with the other instrumentalists by using a standardized musical language. This will allow you to consistently play at the same level as the band’s musicians.
Thanks to the wonderful support we receive from the Town of Holly Springs and local businesses, participation is free.

We require that musicians attend at least 50% of all rehearsals leading up to a performance. If you have individual concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the executive director.
Yes, provided it keeps with the band’s style and ability. It also must be part of the existing library. If it isn’t, a donation must be secured to purchase the piece.
Yes, provided the appropriate arrangements can be made. Please contact the executive director about this.
Membership in HSCB grew by approximately 10% last year. Of course, we welcome any new members. Whether you're just starting out, refreshing your skills, or can't stop playing, please join us!
We value your talents!
Still have questions? Please contact us anytime! We look forward to hearing from you.
